Six Ways to Experience Spring in the PNW

Posted on: March 22, 2021

With an extra hour of daylight, Seattleites and people all over the Pacific Northwest are ready to jump into spring and are looking for ways they can safely enjoy some of the region’s favorite local activities. For any of the below, they’re good for multiple years of visits. If you haven’t been recently, you haven’t been, especially when it comes to the tulips! Savor a little PNW pride and check out some of the marvelous springtime activities in the area!

See the Cherry Blossoms ⟶

The window for this is small, usually the end of March or early April, but it’s a marvelous sight. One of the more popular venues is at the University of Washington, but there are virtual tours offered for those who feel more comfortable at home.

Visit the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival ⟶

This is arguably one of the most beloved Washington State attractions, bringing in folks from near and far to see the natural beauty of the tulip fields. Stretched for miles are farms with the most vibrant colors, and the pictures are absolutely stunning.

Explore Some of Washington’s Best Beaches ⟶

The beaches in the Puget Sound Area are good for all seasons! Whether you’re whale watching or running with your dog, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Check out the list of some local favorite spots!

Feast Upon Seattle Restaurant Week ⟶

Held twice annually in April and October, these are your chances to sample some of the finest food in Seattle! The city is known for some of the most delicious cuisine in the region, so get your fill while you can!

Rent a Hot Tub Boat & Cruise Lake Union at Twilight ⟶

This is a great way to experience the lake if you don’t have a boat of your own but want to enjoy a fun weekend activity on the water. Also fun for birthdays, anniversaries, families, or small groups!

Enjoy a Wine Tasting at Chateau St. Michelle ⟶

While you can enjoy these all year long, it’s even more special when the weather is nice so you can walk around Chateau St. Michelle’s gorgeous grounds. The property is truly a beautiful sight!
